I am being induced on Monday after 3 failed sweeps, I will only actually be 1 day over but have had quite a few probs including obstetric cholestasis and polyhydramnios, gallstones and ulcerative colitis to name a few lol!

Anyway at the all my sweeps they said I am 3cm dilated and can stretch to 5cm so Dr said they will just go straight to breaking waters and being put on drip, however the midwife said it might still be better to go with the pessary as I might then start contracting on my own without needing the drip. She said this is a gentler way to do it.

Just worried that going for the pessary will only prolong things, but then I have such a low pain threshold and have been told that it will take a couple of midwifes to break waters as one will need to be pushing baby down to make sure it doesn't flip over and the cord doesn't come down first due to the amount of fluid. Sounds painful.

This is my second pregnancy but went into natural labour with the first so no experience of this.

Any recommendations for the induction. Sorry its so long!
