I am planning to BF and would also like to express so hubby can do the bedtime feed. When do you girls think its the best time to introduce the bedtime bottle feeding?

When did you start this with your LO's?
Also what bottle/teats do you advise to use?

Not before 6 weeks ish when BFing is established. Babies have different preferences for bottles so just buy one and see how they get on with it rather than buying loads of a particular one. :)

I started at 5 and a half weeks, and used the tommee tippee closer to nature ones. If you leave it too long sometimes they don't take to the bottle (so I was told) and you do want BF to be established as mervsmum said. OH still does a feed every morning to make sure he doesn't forget how to use the bottle. And mostly so I don't have to get up he he! It's a good plan.

Yeah....what they said. Breastfeeding needs to at least have started to become established but if you leave it too long sometimes they don't take to change too well so somewhere between 6-10wks is probably ideal. Expressing can take a bit of practice too so don't be disheartened or think you have no milk if you can only get a dribble the 1st few times you try expressing....I promise that's normal:hugs::hugs::hugs:
