AF after m/c

I have posted this in TTC but was wondering if anyone here could give any advice?

Does anyone know when I should get my first AF after m/c???

I assume that I started miscarrying around the 2nd of march when I started getting light bleeding and it wasn't until the 6th march when I got pain and heavy bleeding.

Since then nothing, until yesterday - so thats 10 days later.

Is it too early for it to be my AF? Will this be more blood from the m/c??

I'm curious to know this too... as I had my EPRC last Wednesday, and am still bleeding (v.light)... but no idea when I will next ov (if at all), or when my AF will show?

Any ideas? How long did it take for other people for the to show?

Did other people Ov?

I read on another post in the forum that when you get your BFN that all the pregnancy tissue has gone and I got a BFN last Thursday so can this even be pregnancy tissue??

I think the time it takes AF to show after m/c varies from woman to woman. When I had my m/c in February, the doc told me I'd probably get my next period after about 4 weeks (my cycles are usually 30 days). It's now been 3 weeks 6 days, but I'm pretty sure I only ovulated on Saturday, 3 weeks after the m/c started. If I'm right, AF will show 5 weeks after the start of the m/c. But mine was only at 5 weeks and all passed naturally - I think it can sometimes take longer to return to normal after an EPRC.

I'm in a team in the ttc buddies section with other girls ttc after m/c - for some of them it's already been 6 weeks, and they're waiting for AF or for a BFP!

Little Em - I don't really know about the pregnancy tissue thing - the doc told me to test a week after the m/c to make sure it was a BFN. I only bled for about 5 days and had nothing else after that. To me it sounds too early for this to be your AF, and as you say it might just a bit left over from the m/c. I'm guessing that you could still have this with a BFN - it's left over, but not producing enough preg hormones to still give you a BFP. But I'm just guessing.

I think that they class any bleeding that is within 20 days of your miscarriage isn't your period. I'm not too sure on that but I'm sure it was in the leaflet I was given after. I got my period exactly 5 weeks to the day after my ERPC xxx

hi girls. so sorry to hear of everyones losses my period arrived today: thirty days after my miscarriage, on Feb 16th. this time i had a natural miscarriage. last time I believe it arrived 31 days after my d&c.

You may resume a normal cycle immediately with the next period 28 days after the miscarriage but there is a great personal variation,
and it can take up to 6 or 7 weeks for your period to return, especially if you had a "natural" miscarriage (i.e. no D&C or tablets).
It still may take a few cycles before your regular pattern is re-established.
Ovulation can occur 14 days after a miscarriage so you may wish to take precautions.

I had my ERPC on 18 Feb and still waiting for AF.

I believe i ovulated on 13 Feb so waiting to see if i bleed on 27 Feb (AF).

Ovulation is supposed to be 2/3 weeks after MC but i think mine was 3/4 weeks

BFN after m/c usually means everything is out of your system so the body is no longer registering as pregnant. So your cycle is probably on its way to normalizing again. Who knows you may even O, some ppl do and have gotten pregnant during that wait until the AF comes again, except it never came. I've never been that lucky, by my AF did come a few weeks later without issue.

I had a miscarriage that started on February 13th, and my cycles last 30 days usually. This month, when my period was supposed to come, all I got was spotting of really dark blood (sorry if TMI), and I am assuming it is leftover blood from the miscarriage? I think it varies from woman to woman though. Hope I helped.

I still had a bfp 2.5 weeks after my erpc which nobody told me would happen. I thought I'd get my AF late but it was slap bang on 28 days when it appeared again. I have always been regular though. Everyone is different. I didn't check ovulation so can't help you with that. Sorry for your loss and hope you feel better soon.

sorry for your loss. It has been 30 days since my mc and I have no signs of af, hope it comes soon so i know i am getting back into "normality" that all i think about
