We used to sometimes do yogurt or a small bowl of porridge or a banana. Anything with lots of protein is good too, cheese and crackers, rice cakes with peanut butter, etc. Now we just eat too late that it doesn't matter. We don't usually finish dinner until 7 and then she's upstairs for a bath and to bed. So moving dinner later might also be an option depending on how it works for everyone's schedule?
When dd was at nursery she would eat tea at 4pm so we always had supper. Favourites were soreen bread, toasted teacake, Nutella toast, yogurt with fruit and crackers with cheese. Not always healthy.... *blush* but I knew she'd had lots of fruit & veg at nursery & she always eats well. Supper was a bit of a treat for us curled up together with warm milk.
Avoid anything sticky - cos it takes an age to clean of any teeth (I've banned malt loaf before bed, its just a hassle). Oatmeal/porridge or any breakfast cereal has always been a favourite in our house.
