Basically, after 5 months of calling my LO Aidan, OH decided to turn round and say he wasn't too keen on the name and "it wasn't us". Gutted a bit as to me that is now his name, even though the past couple of weeks I was thinking of alternative names, but when I tried using it when refering to LO it just didn't feel right after EVERYONE calling him Aidan for months.

I told OH we could consider other names, so suggestions and opinions would be nice.

Our top three are:

Aidan Craig (original name)
Charlie Nicklas
Ciaran (havnt got a middle name yet)

Aidan Craig was because Aidan is Irish and all my family are Irish & Craig is my OH's middle name.

Charlie Nicklas because my dad is Charles and Nicklas because as he is due around Christmas it's like St Nick lol.

And Ciaran because..i'm not sure we just like it. lol

Opinions and suggestions needed, thanks :D xxx

i think Charlie is suuuuch an adorable name!
we have a baby boy Charlie in day care now, i love the name!
it's both cute and so boyish

be warned tho if u pick charlie hes just bound too be cheeky! all charlie's are

Hahaha. I do love the name Charlie, I think because i've been calling him Aidan for so long it's just what I've gotten used to. Do you think Nicklas matches Charlie? Charlie Nicklas Lambert?

xx

yep i think its lovely! Our charlie is Charlie Alexander, i think with a longer 2nd name it sounds nice i dunno if id spell it nicklas mind but im tradtional id probably spell it Nicholas but the spellings not wat matters really i suppose!! its a lovely name :-)
I had thoughts of changing our baby name but OH wouldnt let me  said hes been harry since 16 weeks not changing it now!!! but i wanted Oliver insted!! hehe

I know, i'm not really sure why we'd be spelling it Nicklas lol, my boyfriend was playing his football game (MEN!), and one of the football players was called Nicklas, so he said Nicklas lol. Harry is a lovely name too, Harry and Charlie really match!

xx

thanks hun! think we picked Harry mainly because it went too welll with charlie! and ur not alone with the OH and the football games im sure mine thinks its real life haha

I like Charlie and Ciaran, prefer Charlie though :D

I like Charlie, it's my cousins name and I always thought it was cute :) I am not keen on Ciaran but that is because there is the most unbearable guy in my class at school called Ciaran, and I can't stand him. :haha: but don't let that put you off!

I like Charlie :)

Charlie Aidan would sound nice too?

x

I love Aidan, our youngest would've been Aiden if she'd been a boy!

I like Aidan, I think Charlie is cute but very popular and personally I just prefer names you don't hear that often. Also my brother is called Aidan.

I like Charlie Nicholas... very cute! I also like Nicholas as a first name. I like the name Kieran (i think pronounced the same as Ciaran)... but i used to work with a guy named Kieran.... and he HATED his name. He said it's always misspronounced, people always mistake it for a girl's name, and that kids teased him about his name when he was little.

I'm not personally a fan of Aiden... but i LOVE Jayden & Caiden.

There are so many great irish boy's name if that's what you are looking for: Logan, Liam, Shea, Reilly, Patrick, Gavin, Brandon, Brennan, Casey
