All the stuff you have to do to get a job these days!

OH has been looking for a job for almost a year. He's a good solid worker, having worked since he was 14 (he's 31 now). His last 'big' job he got in 2002. It was 2 interviews and on the second, it was his.

Now these last couple of weeks he's has 3 interviews, a medical cert from the doctor, a drugs test, a police/criminal record check and a credit check, all for one place! Is it always like this now? We still have no idea if they are even considering him. I get that they want to right person but my god, it's dragging on. We feel so nervous with all the waiting!

I think it depends on what job you're applying for tbh and maybe even the country as there's nothing that intensive that I've heard of in the uk!

What is he applying for? In my experience they don't do all those checks unless they want to offer you a job otherwise it would be a waste of time and money.
