I agree. The army need to get involved. And they need to be heavy handed so they get the message that we aren't taking any crap. Problem is, these thugs know they are getting away with it. I can't believe they're supposedly doing it for 'fun'.

Last update said there had been 215 arrests, think thats for the whole weekend though.

I think we're all just unsatisfied with how the police are handling it. They just seem to be standing around thats not going to stop them.

I've no idea what they can do but surely theres something. Innocent people are being hurt shoot the bloody buggers if need be!

Theyre damned if they do and theyre damned if they don't. They can't just shoot at crowds of people as innocent people could be hit in the crossfire.

I know, thats the problem. They just can't win

And if they did open fire, I guess that would cause an even bigger riot. I really hope they get it under control soon. I can't imagine how people who live close must feel in their homes.

I am in Mitcham and Colliers Wood has been closed off. Mitcham town centre has been closed off. It is so scary, earlier it was ok talking about it but now its on my doorstep

As much as I'd like to agree..It's possible that they have no control over him/her and struggle so I don't think arresting them would be fair.

I knew a boy who aged 11/12 was out of control, on police cerfew etc. His poor mum was about 50 5foot and slim. She had no control over him at all and I could see in her face her heart was breaking not being able to stop him from getting into trouble.

As much as I'd like to agree..It's possible that they have no control over him/her and struggle so I don't think arresting them would be fair.

if my 11 year old was acting like that, I'd have moved out of the area and taken him away from his 'friends' well before it got to that stage. If it doesnt come from home, it comes from friends (unless mental illness is involved then its totally different obviously).

:S My mum is in carshalton. My dad is at his partners in carshalton. My sister lives in wallington very close to the high street. I have a lot of family and friends all in that sort of area.

Something needs to be done to put a stop to this!!
