Thanks everyone for your thoughts, we are all in the middle of it.. Mum and dad, me, my sister and my brother actually lives in Croydon. We are in the middle of Croydon, Streatham, Brixton, Clapham, Tooting and Colliers Wood.

sorry to sound dumb but ive been out all day so missed out on the news
Would some one mind updating me, the last thing i heard was that there was a few riots in london becuase someone that pulled a gun and shot a police officer then got shot by police and died. Get back today and i see its spread to birmingham, whats actually happened?

arrgghh in birmingham reports are the riots are spreading out of the city centre into surrounding areas, erdington has been named as one of them which is where i live....cacking my pants right now!

Unconfirmed reports of internet access being blocked in the City Centre. Not sure how this would happen - mobile networks being told by police to do it? Calls/texts still work. Perhaps the police do not want more information getting out? This is puzzling.

People are taking advantage of being able to rob shops. Its spreading across towns because they know they can get away with it.
