Why would they admit to not having any space in prisons

And to not having enough police officers.

And to the areas they are taking police officers from.

It is sheer stupidity, I don't know when someone is going to take charge.

I'm near Liverpool, well, I've still got a few old friends that live in the center. And all morning I've had posts about going out and rioting 'against' the current riots. That said, these people are skinheads (self proclaimed) so I've a feeling it's just an excuse to beat the s**t out of anyone with dark skin

I for one have SO much respect for all of the emergency service workers out there and how hard they are working for us. I hope to god they all stay safe.

His name was PC Keith Blakelock and he was hacked to death by the rioting crowd he was involved in trying to stop. It is an absolutely awful event our history and there are many parallels to what is happening now. It happened in Tottenham which of course has been the focus of so much of what has occurred in the last few days.

I think it's important to remember that the police can only do what they are able to - they are limited in their resources and numbers. Above all that though, they can only do as they are told. They are not being supported in the way that they need to be. The government have much to answer for.

A minute ago on the news they showed a baby shop that had been smashed up so that the youths could take the clothes and hang them from the trees accross the road. It's disgusting
