almost 6 months - how much milk?

Ffion seems to go ages between bottles??

she has 3 8oz bottles one in the morning, one in the afternoon and one at bedtime. then she has one 8oz bottle in the night. each time she drinks the whole 8oz and doesnt want any more. ive tried to offer her more milk during the day but shes more interested in food. shes on 3 meals a day now.

is this enough milk though?

Wow - yes I should say 24 oz is plenty!! I struggle to get Jack to drink his, he normally only drinks 4-5 oz at a time so I have to put the rest into his cereal & food etc. He does drink most of a 6oz bottle once a day though. He still has 4 bottles a day & is on 3 meals plus a little porridge for supper. I always give bottle before solids, but he only wants the solids!!

Yes, I would say 24 oz. is plenty, too. Valerie is still breastfed at the moment, but when we give her bottles she usually only drinks about 5 oz. So I'd say your LO is doing real good!

Sounds great. Colton drinks an 8oz bottle every 3-4 hours still, so I think your lucky! I still have to clean so many bottles everyday that I feel like I have a newborn! I wish he only drunk 3-4 bottles.

thanks girls, i thought i saw another thread where people were saying that their babies were still drinking every 3-4 hours which worried me coz ffion can go 6-7hours before wanting another bottle

It sounds like she is doing great. Are her meals spaced between the bottles? If so, thats probably why. Where she may have had a bottle before, she is having a meal now. When Erica usually gets about 24oz max per day, and she is still mainly on one meal a day. Ffion should be fine hun.
