I go to work full time/college.

I'm 17, I've looked at it from all different angles. My mum is more than happy to look after Summer while I work/study. The way I see it, I'm providing for my daughter and our future. I don't want to be on benefits forever, and even for another 6 months sits a bit funny with me.

No! I'm going back to full time college in September and leaving Evie will be horrible but just got to think of it as a means to an end you will be securing a better future for your daughter and will be better in the long run :) x

Not at all. How is going to school much different than working? Millions of mums work FT :) You're doing it to make a better life for the both of you - doubt anyone could fault you :hugs: Good luck

your not a bad mum at all its very amazing to me how your sacrificing yourself so much for you and your little girl future
and its definitely not bad because your looking out for her in the fact that you want nothing but the best for her
keep it up good luck hugs and kisses

Definitely not a bad mum. You only want to do better for you and LO xx

Not a bad mum at all - quite the opposite! Good luck with your studies x

Not at all. I should be going to college this year or early next year and whilst im going to miss the girls i know that its for their future as well.

Dont feel like i have much choice, i need to be able to provide for them.

I think it makes you a great mum. Your wanting a better life for you and for LO and therefore you are being the best parent you can be.
Leaving LO will be hard but you can do it and if your really wanting this new life you just need to think of that

I work 4 full days a week when the kids will be in nursery. Its not bad to want to better yourself by studying or by wanting to work

You do what is best for you and your daughter! Nothing is more beneficial to her than you bettering yourself.

You're definitely not a bad mum! I got pregnant in my first year of uni and I didn't even have a break (I had my LO in my first semester of second year) and I'm now graduating in July with 2:1 honors.
Keep at it and prove people with stigmas wrong! Yeah it will be hard but it will be worth it when you have all of your grades and knowing you'll be doing a wonderful job bringing up your LO xxx
