Amber teething

Dd wore an amber teething anklet & had very few teething issues. Ms he always wore it under clothes & we never had any issues with it.

I was looking to get ds one, but it seems guidelines have changed since dd was small & now they are not suitable under 36 months.

They look exactly the same to me

Am I missing something? Do people still use these for babies? (Obviously under supervision as per old guidelines).

I use an amber ankle bracelet on ds2. I guess the guidelines changed as there is a risk of choking/strangulation. I personally wouldn't be comfortable with lo wearing an Amber necklace. He does wear his ankle bracelet at night but he wears a babygrow and sleeping bag. X

Both mine have used an amber necklace, I don't see the problem at all. My eldest used it more than his brother. At night and for naps I took it off and put it on his ankle underneath his sleepsuit.

Ill be using one, and taking it off for sleep.

We intend in using one, there's 15% off everything at love amber x at the moment so I'm going to order from there. I'm getting DS an anklet so he can't pull/play with it in his sleep as it will be under a babygro and sleeping bag.

Phew!! Glad I'm not the only one contemplating it. It was so good with dd. I've picked a really nice anklet from amber pumpkin.

Lau - I had a necklace for dd & put it on her ankle at nap time too!! Then she found it and liked to pull on it sometimes so under clothes around her ankle worked best & we swapped it for an anklet. I'd def do it again for this one - except he's so much like her I figure we may as well skip straight to the anklet stage & save some cash
