American ladies.. who do you think will win the election?

We vote for the prime minister but not the queen. The queen or king use to have powers but not really nowadays, not that I disregard what the royal family do for the country. Plus the queen has loads of experience so I'm sure that helps prime ministers.

I not voted before, well actually I spoiled my ballot card. I just didn't agree with the policies of the leaders. And my local people weren't great either. I don't think that makes me have less of a right to an opinion, I did my research, I decided what i wanted to do and i still went down there and spoiled the card so that I wasn't lumped in with the people who can't be bothered category.

Watching election night noe

When I was in Bristol, the local majority was Lib Dems and now I'm in Brighton it is the Green Party, which is why my vote still doesn't feel like a waste!

I'm in bed watching election night. They're talking about the fact that in Virginia (I think it was) that this year for the first time ever there has been more minority births, so in eighteen years the minority voter will be the majority.

Here for as long as I can remember it was labour but they lost it (was quite a shock I think) and now it's conservative.

i don't think Romney even knows what he stands for. i could never vote for a person who has shown so many sides i have no idea which side he'll be in office.

but maybe thats just me.

I'd rather have that than a president that has proven he wants to turn this country into a socialist nation and take away all of our freedoms.

I think a lot of women and homosexuals would argue that Romney is the one trying to take away freedom.

Seriously. It baffles me. I mean, I can kind of understand why some people may have an issue with some of Obama's policies but how could Romney ever be the lesser of two evils? The only people who will truly benefit from having Romney as president are white, privileged men with no social conscience, IMO.

Basically he says that he isn't going to allow china to get over on Americans anymore by imitating our stuff. It doesn't mean we will go to war. Romeny does not want to take away womens rights. You guys are taking what a few ******** republicans have said and saying that it's Romney and it's not.

You can't really think that he doesn't agree with the people he's supporting and backing, like Richard Mourdock. These are people he wants in there with him to make changes. These people are so out of touch with women it's unreal!

Someone just said Romney could win but it's unlikely, is that the impression you guys are getting there?

Nah, don't think there is any indication of which way it's going to go yet.

i have a lot of Romney supporters on my facebook and he's won quite a few states so far. i'm feeling the heat! but it's still early...

He's won states that are Republican states, though.

No states have 100% of votes in at the moment.

I read a lot of articles today that projected President Obama as the winner. But, watching the election coverage, Romney is already ahead, and it's early.

This is making me so nervous!

These are just projection votes, guys.

Right now South Carolina only has 1% and they're projecting a Romney win. It's not anything definite, no states have been won by either one.

The states who's polls have closed and are already making the call are states that typically vote Republican. Most elections the Republican candidate gets an early lead.

It's definitely going to be close. Should be an interesting night.

Not sure, I still think it could go either way but some of these states like I said before are Republican states.

Usually Indiana is a Republican state - they were a Democrat state in '08. They can change.

I'm not sure, either. This is the first time I've ever been old enough to really paid attention. I voted last time, but it wasn't as important to me then.

It's still nerve-wracking. :D

I was just about to ask this as I seem to remember Republicans having the lead until the votes start moving west a bit.

I've been following the huffington post electoral map, right now they have Obama at 281 and Romney at 191.

I am so nervous I feel sick. Someone wake me up when it is over and pray it goes the right way.
