this is soo random,but ive just watched a documentry about the group N.W.A and now im realllly fascinated by this "dangerous gang land" place called compton!


so,


has anyone been or even lived there? heard any stories about it etc? is it as bad as its made out?

I use to love NWA!!

I was into a bit of hip hop back in the day!!
I remember being into knowing about the gang culture between the crips and bloods the 2 big gangs that were well famous at the time. I think one wore blue and the other wore red, basically you'd get shot wearing blue in the red areas I think!
Could be wrong though!

Im pretty sure the bloods and the crips are the main gangs in America.

The likes of Snoop Dog etc are crips and they wear bandanas in there left pocket but the bloods wear theres on the right side.

Bloods are obviously red, crips are blue.

We accidentally got a bus through Compton when travelling around the US when I was 20. Didn't realise for ages then copped on that everyone was staring at us. I suppose 3 very pale, very young Irish girls, 2 with bright red hair, stood out!
