Amniocentesis???

I didn't want it done, I'm my opinion it's to high risk for the baby.
And apparently teens are less likely to have DS babies anyways.
I had the blood test done for it, and it came back low risk, so I didn't bother with the amnio test (:

xx

i think i mite go for the blood test but its my OH thts worried so jus wanted some ppls experince of the test

My friend's mom is high risk for downs and has lupus so she had the CVS/Amnio test done. They were able to tell her the gender (:blue:) at only 12 weeks. Now, this isn't any reason to go off and get it done, I was just point that out cause I thought it was interesting.
She was sore the next day and felt dizzy, but other than that she was okay. It probably varies for everyone though.

I didn't have it, I didn't have the blood test either. We figured because was only 19 & low risk that we wouldn't have it. Also it wouldn't change my opinion on keeping baby, so I didn't see the need myself.

to risky imo. plus wouldn't affect my decision on keeping baby no matter what the outcome.

I had it done and for me it didn't really even hurt. I don't mind shots and stuff though the only weird part was that it was going in my stomach and it felt weird. But afterwards I had a little cramping that's it :)

I had it done because I'm considered highrisk since the LO has cleft lip. Otherwise I wouldn't have gotten it done!
