I didn't want it done, I'm my opinion it's to high risk for the baby.
And apparently teens are less likely to have DS babies anyways.
I had the blood test done for it, and it came back low risk, so I didn't bother with the amnio test
My friend's mom is high risk for downs and has lupus so she had the CVS/Amnio test done. They were able to tell her the gender blue at only 12 weeks. Now, this isn't any reason to go off and get it done, I was just point that out cause I thought it was interesting.
She was sore the next day and felt dizzy, but other than that she was okay. It probably varies for everyone though.
I didn't have it, I didn't have the blood test either. We figured because was only 19 & low risk that we wouldn't have it. Also it wouldn't change my opinion on keeping baby, so I didn't see the need myself.
I had it done and for me it didn't really even hurt. I don't mind shots and stuff though the only weird part was that it was going in my stomach and it felt weird. But afterwards I had a little cramping that's it
I had it done because I'm considered highrisk since the LO has cleft lip. Otherwise I wouldn't have gotten it done!
