Hi all,

I am formula feeding my daughter (7 weeks tomorrow). She is currently on 4oz 6 times a day but we really struggle to get all her feeds in as she sleeps through the night (but not during the day). We wake her to feed between 7 and 7:30, then feed at 11am, 3pm, 6pm, 9pm and she usually falls asleep around 11 for us to wake her again between 12 and 12:30. Due to how close together some of her feeds are she doesnt always ask for food for the 6pm and 9pm feeds and never asks for her night one.

She is just under 10lb, are these good times to feed or should we go up to 5oz per feed and feed 5 times a day (and if so what times are good times?) or is there another option?

Just looking for suggestions and other peoples ideas really.
Thanks

Hi hun. U dont really need to wake her up for a feed at 12. U can just wait until she wakes up at night. Mine used to go for 7-8 hrs at night at this age with no feeds & he was fine. We used to feed him 4 oz every 4 hrs (around 5 feeds) & he used to sleep through for 7-8 hrs with no feeds in between. U can give her her 9 pm bottle at 10 pm instead & increase it by 1 oz & see how it goes. Then u can increase her day time bottles & again stretch the time between feeds by 1 hr & see how it goes xx
