Anatomy scan questions

My due date is June 20th, so I'm 17 weeks as of today. My next appointment is on Monday, but I think that's still too early for the anatomy scan. I wonder when they will have me come back in for that... I hope they don't make me wait four weeks! Isn't it supposed to done between 18-20 weeks? Do they ever do it after that?

Mine was done at 20+ 6 and then I had to go back at 22+6 because she was misbehaving and they didn't get to see anything. Not sure what they'd conside too early.

before i made my appointment, the receptionist said as long as its around 20 weeks its fine, so yea 18-22 weeks seemed to be the mark. i went in two days ago to my anatomy scan but baby(the entire day too) was doing boxing matches in there too much! she punched the sonographer's probe and we had to be rescheduled again 4 weeks later. ugh. 4 more weeks which will be 2 days before my birthday. lol

I had mine at 18ish weeks and baby was very co-operative so we definitely saw the gender.

I had the same timing - an appt at 17 weeks - so my anatomy scan wasn't until 21 weeks.

We have the same due date and I am booked In for the 29th when I will be 19+5.
Mine was scheduled when I was in for my 12 week scan (NHS).

I'd say they'll probably wait until 21 weeks to do it. Sorry! Mine was done at 19 weeks, but went back at 24 weeks because baby wouldnt move so they could get measurements of certain things. Who knows though, maybe they'll do it early!

(We were able to see enough for the gender though)

I am getting mine next week and I will be 15w1d. They say anything after 16 weeks you can see for sure. I am doing mine early because the clinic is closed and I have another apt for 20 weeks to confirm in case baby isn't cooperating.

That's interesting. They told me to come back at 21 weeks because 19 weeks is still early to know anything worth mentioning. They never know 100% for sure using ultrasound alone.

I had my appointment today, and since my OB knows how excited I am, she said I can come back in three weeks (instead of four). That will put me at 20 weeks and 3 days. Glad I have a flexible doctor. She said I might be able to find out earlier, too, since I might be going in for progesterone shots.

This doesn't sound like the full anatomy scan. Certain parts of babies organs are not developed enough to measure until 18 weeks.

I like the cut of your baby's jib. Punching at things in utero. That's my kind of person.
