Hi Everyone,

I miscarried my baby at 13 weeks back in November....his due date is this Monday and I feel as if I lost him all over again. This is by far the most difficult thing I have ever experienced, if it wasn't for my 2 year old daughter, I wouldn't get out of bed. My question is what can I do on his due date, I feel like I need to do something but am not sure. Any ideas would be much appreciated, Thank you.

I'm so sorry. I am dreading when this date comes around for me.

My aunt told me she bought a little teddy bear. She said she didn't tell anyone about the bear, but she would think of her baby and hug it. Many years later she gave it to her great nephew.

I hope you found something meaningful to do.

My little guy's due date is in a little more than a month. Coincidentally, there's a massive baby boom on my Facebook starting a few days before it and lasting into late August (at least 6 pregnant friends are due this summer). I may give up Facebook this summer. I'd love to do something special but not sure what either. We have a garden planted already as a memorial, so maybe I'll just go sit there for a while.

When my first son passed away it was terrible when the date came around when he was suppose to be born it was like I'd lost him all over again, we spent a lot of time at his graveside that day, we got some bright colourful flowers and a stone that said special son and lit a lantern on his grave.

Have a look in your local baby grave yard as ours had a big stone separate to any grave for those babies lost to miscarriage, lots of people leave teddies, toys, flowers and cards on there as somewhere to go an remember their little one.

I lost my twin boys in January this year and I know the only thing that is going to get me through it is my 2 year old, I plan on getting him involved with re decorating their grave too, I'm going to do a bright rainbow garden where he can leave toys for his 3 brothers. x

Ugh that is gut wrenching! I'm so sorry. I just had my first pregnancy and miscarriage two days ago, and I've found so much comfort on these boards from all you strong women going through tough tough things. What did women do before the internet??

The first thing that came to mind was a candle light service. Short, but light a candle and say a prayer. Maybe plant a rose bush, throw ashes into the wind... Something ceremonial and sentimental to honor him.

I'm very glad to hear you have your daughter to brighten your spirits. Some day this will be a distant memory of struggle and perseverance. Are you still TTC?

I have a pandora charm.

The teddy is a gorgeous idea or a small ornament. I've friends who have planted a tree on property they own if that is possible or maybe even a balloon <3
