I had my second appt. today. No ultrasound just a doppler to hear the heartbeat.Everything sounds great BUT im still confused about weeks.I know I should have questioned the doctor but I didn't think about it until after. She said I would be 12 weeks Tuesday(tomarrow). So every Tuesday I start a new week. When I had my first appt on Friday Oct.14th I measured(ultrasound) at 7 wks exactly. So shouldn't my new week be starting on Friday? I think I will be 12 wks this coming Friday. My mother thinks Im only at 10 wks now because Im pretty sure I conceived Sept.6-9th using tracking and OPK.I know the doctors start counting from your LMP which was August 23rd.I won't have another ultrasound until January. This is driving me crazy!! Anyone have any advice or is anyone else just as confused as me when it comes to weeks?

I'm planning on going by the date I get at my 1st ultrasound at 13 weeks. My doc is going by lmp but I have a long cycle and I ovulated late so I know I'm a week behind d lmp date and hopefully the ultrasound will prove it. Either way come next June I won't be getting too worried by missing my lmp due date!

As it is only four days difference I wouldn't stress about it too much- some people get moved back or forward several weeks! As the second appointment was only a doppler I would stick with the Friday dates in the meantime, but dont be suprised if they move again at the dating scan ... Or if LO decides to turn up at a different time all together!! - there is a margin of 5wks around your due date which is considered normal in child birth, up to 3wks before due date and up to 2wks after xx
