Anovulatory cycle and pms...

So we know that we don't necessarily ovulate every months. But would we still have pms symptoms like tender breasts, cramps and irritability when ov didn't happen??

Your question made me check my symptoms in the period app for the one cycle last year that I was sure I didn't ovulate (60+ days long). Not sure how accurate my notes are but here goes:
I noted that I experienced EWCM for one day (normally I get it for a week), but it stopped short, and I didn't get my period until a month later. During that time I had light breast tenderness but it never became more severe as it usually does before my period. I had acne for an extended period too.
However, the usual bloating did start a week or so before my period.

I googled this and a positive OPK measures the LH surge that precedes ovulation, but can't confirm whether you have actually ovulated

The reason for my question was that I used to suffer from pmdd (premenstrual dysphoric disorder) before I started antidepressants. I'm talking about terrible mental and physical symptoms before af. I also have ovaryan cysts so I probably don't ovulate every months and I can actually confirm that based on my temp chart. But still have pms symptoms like extreme moodiness, irritability, bloating and breast tenderness. I had a very strong opk+ this month. No, it doesn't mean ov occurred. My chart is confusing me and I can't see any ov but I'm getting the usual symptoms. I just haven't got a clue

When I had an anovulatory 2 months ago I had all those symptoms but they started earlier in my cycle, as opposed to just a few days before AF comes.
