It may sound weird but I find what works best is a simple emollient, similar to what is recommended for dry skin conditions and eczema. I either use one called Cetraben cream or Hydromol cream (from behind the pharmacy counter). I tried Olay and other proper anti-wrinkle creams before and they were all rubbish and expensive.
When my mil moved to USA she left me key to her house to empty rest of the stuff and clean.i found ROC anti-wrinkle cream and I had a go for about 3 weeks and I have to admit it give amazing visible positive effect after 1week of using.i treat myself with one now for Christmas but I have to say that it is pricey about £30 but for me it's money we'll spend.
I'm 23 at the end of the month and I've asked my mum to get me some No7 Protect and Perfect (not the intense one) for my Christmas because I've started freaking out about getting old lol. That one is £20 but I've heard amazing things about it over the time it's been around and I'm hoping it'll pre-empt the inevitable wrinkles (or I can hope anyway )
The creams are fairly non-greasy. I found that commercial anti-wrinkle creams were more likely to give me spots due to all the additives and perfumes in them. My skin is very sensitive and also prone to spots. I found it quite difficult to find a cream that worked well for me. But these improves my skin if anything. I have literally hardly any spots these days. I converted my sister to it as well. She took a great big tube back with her to Germany.
I used to work for avon and the reviews I had back about the ANEW range was that it was very greasy. I gave my mum some and she said my dad actually asked her "have you put vaselline on your face?" I wouldnt really recommend it for spot prone skin with it being so greasy.
I was always told that as long as you do moisturise your skin will be ok. You don't have to spend a fortune on special creams. Even something like Johnsons baby lotion would work well. xxx
