I have just found out that my antiphosolipid antibodies came back positiive and probably caused my mc at 10 weeks.I have been referred to the specialist but feeling pessimistic.Any one else have this or know anyone who had a sucessful pregnancy and birth

I think they will possibly have you go on low dose aspirin straight away and then heparin if a pregnancy is detected but not positive. I know there is treatment.

I think APS is pretty common and lots of ladies do carry to term. I have APS, which has just been diagnosed and am on 75mg of asprin daily whilst TTC and will go on to one injection (60mg) of clexane once a day once I get my BFP, and stay on the asprin too.

I do have three children, but didn't have APS then.

I have the same problem, diagnosed after 3 m/c, so I will be interested to hear of success stories too!

I have been prescribed low dose aspirin and daily heparin injections to start as soon as I know I am pregnant. I have been told that the success rate when on the medication is very good, but I did miscarry again earlier this year whilst on it. The way I look at it though, is that m/c happen for all sorts of reasons and maybe the pregnancy wasn't viable anyway and had nothing to do with the antibody thing . Now patiently (not) starting cycle 6 of ttc...

My friend lost 3 babies between 15-17 weeks to this before being diagnosed and then had a little girl while taking aspirin and clexane.
