Hi,

Hope someone can relate or advise as I'm going out my mind. I have an ovarian cyst & my periods have been absent for months so don't even know if iv been ovulating. a few weeks ago I started testing & finally got a positive ov test which the test line gradually faded over the next few days which is normal. Because font know what my cycle is I started testing today so I def don't miss it & I have a really strong positive! 2 weeks from my last one? Is this normal? I have been tested for POS which I don't have as I know this can affect your result however can a cyst itself affect it? Any help please?? Xx

You can get a positive OPK and not ovulate...so maybe you were gearing up to O two weeks ago, but for whatever reason, it didn't happen? Maybe your body is gearing up to try again.

Have you used a pregnancy test? You can get a positive OPK when you're pregnant, too.

I did yes 2 days ago and was BFN ill test again tomorrow & see just hope there not being mean & giving me false results. You ever had any experience with the freedom ov tests? Xx

I suggest temping with a basal thermometer..it's the only way to confirm ovulation and i do believe that ovarian cysts can delay ovulation & periods.. i had a tangerine sized one and my body geared up to o a couple times and didn't then finally did...i got my period two days after the cyst ruptured after missing my period for 2 1/2 months..good luck!
