Any Advice on Vitex?

So I stopped taking the vitex a few days before my period started and now I'm having mid cycle spotting I'm on cd15 and started spotting yesterday I'm so lost as to what to do now because that's what happened before and then my cycle lasted around 120 days and I don't want to go through that again. Do you ladies think I should start taking the vitex again? When I started taking it last time I was having spotting like every two weeks until my period came. I'm so confused anyone have any advice?

I had the same thing happen when I started taking Vitex, I was spotting every 2-3 weeks but I was happy with that because it was better than not having a period at all for months, at least I felt like it was starting to do something. After a couple months of it doing that I had a REALLY heavy period (last month) and the spotting stopped and I just ended my period yesterday but it was on time but very light. I would start taking it again and give it a few months to sort things out. I've been taking it for about 4-5 months and it's really helped my cycles get back on track.

Is it helping with ovulation?

I'm not sure as this is only my 2nd cycle trying. I'm not taking opk's but plan on paying more attention to my CM this month. I just know it's definitely helped get my periods back on track.

I've just up'd my dosage of vitex and started taking dong quai and red raspberry leaf tea too. My bbt used to be all over the place but now it's finally consistent! So that's a good sign for me May just be coincidental but I've noticed more cm? Now I'm just waiting for either ovulation or a period to happen.

How long after starting vitex did others get a period or ovulate? My pcos causes amenorrhea and currently I'm far overdue!

I got my long over due period after about a month of taking vitex actually two days after I stopped. Now I feel like I didn't ovulate at all and am headed towards another extremely long cycle and started a small dosage of vitex just to be safe. I'm also experiencing random spotting which is just super annoying.

I started Vitex about a week ago, after bleeding stopped from my chemical pregnancy, I've noticed no side effects yet. I usually O on CD21, I have my fingers crossed that this month will be sooner, and I have a really good feeling it will be! On CD12 now.

Well, I Oed on CD21, which is when I always do, so I definitely didn't have any negative effect from Vitex. Really seems no effect at all, I took some today, but will now discontinue and start Prometrium. Will update!

You should probably wait it out it can take up to 3 months for vitex to work

But taking Vitex and progesterone together are not advised. I will restart Vitex if I get AF.
