i noticed yesterday (and i dont know if its only just happened or ive only just noticed) that when i look at my bump, its stops being hard just below my belly button and then its my saggy belly :(

is this normal? or should the whole of my stomach be hard??? x

Yep, mines like that. If i lie down it kind of disappears but when im stood up its there. Horrible saggy belly.

Mine is the same, thats the cake and pizza area to me :D

Ive got that too... makes me really paranoid... its like do i look pregnant or just fat?? xx

hehe I was worried about this for ages. Kept looking in the mirror at my belly till I passed the 'fat to obviously pregnant' stage.

phew, im glad im not the only one, although im slightlly worried about how bad it will look once iive given irth! definately an area to be worked on after baba!!!

i was just prodding it going "eewwww" its so saggy and soft lol

Yes i have that! I can feel it wobble when i walk now my bump is huge :/

xxx

Yep mines like that too, really quite hard above my belly button but below it its not hard at all, its abit squishy actually!!! I figured its that I just have too much fat! Luckily I finally look pregnant rather than just fatter.

I have the same problem ladies, i'm still living in hope the the whole thing hardens up rather than just the top part.

Mine is like that too. I hate looking in the mirror because I can never really see a bump. Only when I'm standing a looking down I look pregnant or when I lay down.

The saggy part of my belly though, when I do feel around it when I'm laying down, it does feel quite firm though, just not as firm as the top of my stomach, lol.

yep mine is exactly the same all saggy under belly button but when i lay down it al goes har!!

Mine is like that too! Hard throughout, but then squishy and flabby right at the bottom! I hate it, but more of my bump used to be like that, so I guess I shouldn't complain too much. :)

I have this too and when I'm standing looking at it in the mirror I kind of press it up with both hands so it looks like one proper round hard bump!

Yeah it's where all the fat that was already on our tummies accumulates.

While all us bigger ladies are here does anyone know if doctors/midwives have difficulty measuring how much the baby is engaged because we have a little more padding down there. My doc felt for my pubis bone the othe day and there was so much to feel through to get there I couldn't imagine How easy feeling and measuring how far the babies head was engaged would be.

Love

I'm the same. It's my saggy belly that was there before I got pregnant. Unfortunately it is also the part people insisted on grabbing when they heard I was pregnant and before I had a proper bump. Then they'd look disappointed when they realise it was just fat! :haha:

MW has never had any trouble doing my measurements, or at least she has never mentioned it. All my measurements have been spot on so far.

As someone else said above though, I dread to think what it will look like after I've given birth!

i had no issues with measurements etc that i knew of and i was told i wouldnt be having any more scans after 20 weeks! however ive moved down south and i went to see consultant who has said although he can feel baba and im obviously feeling movements he wants me to have a scan next week and at 36 weeks!

he put on forms that im 3/5 engaged though so i dont think he had a problem telling, just said it doesnt hurt to be reassured and see baby again while i can x

Yep, can't expect the pudge to harden up!

mines like that. i figured its because that's where my LO's feet are and it's how i'm able to tell he still isn't head down *sigh*...but my top of my bump sticks out wayyy more so it's probably not the case for you x

My whole belly is hard, but I'm most deffinately not a skinny lady either.

Now I'm worried that maybe my baby is just going to be a really big baby. :O
