I've been reading Wuthering Heights & it's so grim I've decided i need something more light hearted for a spell!

i can't stand 'chick lit' style books but do love a good comedy...

my faves are Mil Millington (things my girlfriend & I have argued about) and Bill Bryson books.....

anyone got any comedy recommendations?

What tickles our funny bones is such a personal thing - it's difficult to know if what I found funny would appeal to you ... but we both like Bill Bryson so here goes :winkwink:

Some of the Ben Elton's are very funny, and I love Sandi Toksvig's Whistling for the Elephants and Flying under Bridges.

Non fiction - I like The Cat who could open the Fridge and the autobiographies of Clive James, Alan Carr, Frankie Boyle and Dawn French (as well as the Brysons obviously)

thank you Tatties Mum! i will defo go look at these - great thing abou the kindle is getting a couple of chapters to try before buying :flower:

why not mix a bit of classic with a a bit of humour and go for somthing like
Pride and Prejudice and Zombies
https://www.amazon.co.uk/Pride-Prej...?s=digital-text&ie=UTF8&qid=1335916048&sr=1-1

I found that rather funny
