Any get pregnant less than 24 hours post trigger shot and IUI?

Has anyone had success with having an IUI done less than 24 hours post trigger shot? I had a 25, 24, and 18 size follicles...doc ordered me to trigger that day and then my IUI was done the following day..ended up being 18 hours post trigger. I know for a fact that I did not ovulate until around 36 hours post trigger. I am very worried that none of the sperm were alive at that point! Doc said that I shouldn't worry and that they can live a few days. Has anyone had an IUI done that early before?

I haven't done IUI, however, the doctor is right. Sperm can live for 5 days in a woman's reproductive system. Don't worry too much, if you ovulated, that's a good sign.

(My pregnancy was not planned, i ovulated 3 days after unprotected sex.... And we managed to catch it, my husband didn't imagine it was possible...)

I had my IUI done about 14 hours after the trigger shot. I felt EXACTLY the same way you did, that it was done way too early and that all the sperm would be dead. I even googled and read that washed sperm live even LESS time than unwashed. I was POSITIVE it wasn't going to work. Well, it worked! lol They said that they want to do it a bit earlier so the sperm are waiting right when the egg pops out. It is a very successful fertility clinic and I will never doubt them again!

wristwatch that is SOOOOO great & comforting to hear! Congrats on your BFP! Do you mind if I ask you a few more questions?! Were you already surging on your own when you got the trigger shot? Maybe that is why your doc wanted to do the IUI so early? When did you feel ovulation? I def was not surging when the doc gave me my trigger shot. I didn't I until around 36 hours.

I'm not totally sure, what happened was I went in on like CD13 and the biggest follie was 16mm. They said they like to see them bigger, but that they would check my blood and if there was an LH surge they'd have me do the shot that night, otherwise I had to do it the FOLLOWING night at 9pm. So they called and said I hadn't surged. I was freaking out that A) one of the eggs would pop before the trigger or B) it wouldn't be big enough and I wasn't having another ultrasound. So I did the shot the night AFTER the ultrasound at 9pm, and went in the next morning at 11 and did the IUI. So it had been 2 days since they had looked at my follicles and just like trusted that it did its job. So that, plus having the IUI only 14 hours after trigger made me also feel that it wasn't going to work. I thought they should have checked my follies on the day of the IUI.

I am not 100% on when I ovulated. I wasn't temping at the time and I don't really feel myself ovulate. But I for some reason really think that I ovulated sometime the day after the IUI, so 48 hours after the trigger.

Thank you!! I will! I am only 3 dpo today so I got awhile What dpo did you get your BFP? Did you have any symptoms before you tested? When I got pregnant with my son 2 years ago...I had ZERO symptoms when I got a bfp at 12dpo. I was in total shock. He was conceived naturally not problem. Never thought it would be this hard trying for baby#2! DH and I are both 27. No known problems!
