Hi, I'm looking for some fun ways to tell the family we are pregnant on christmas. I will be 13 weeks by then! I have 2 children (5 and 7) no one has a clue that we were trying for another one! It is going to be so much fun to see their faces! Any ideas on how to tell???

What i had thought about doing is getting my kids shirts that say "Big Brother" (he's the oldest) and the "Big Sister" (shes the youngest), and take a picture of them and make it like a Pregnancy Announcement (like a birth Announcement). Thought that would be cute :)

i was going to get personalized ornaments. or you can sign cards with the current family and baby X due ________.

Write it in a christmas card and put one on every dinner plate. I'm also looking for a way to tell my family on Christmas, but i'm definitely not a fan of big announcements. :)

Open some crackers... take the joke out and replace it with a little announcment ! make sure everyone pulls the crackers at the table !! they will all read the announcment together

The only ones i plan on really telling like that would be our parents and grandparents, everyone else will find out from gossip!! So that's why i said like a pregnancy announcement. Something simple and cute but will get the point across

We are going to put a scan pic in a frame for both sets of parents and wrap them up for xmas day

use the scan pic as a christmas card...like moon pig cards, upload your scan pic and make personal cards for your family xx

make your own xmas crackers and put a scan picture or a cheeky little note in each one with a few sweets or somthing

In the card above, you can personalise the text. In the snow is going to be written "Baby (Surname) is on it's way!"

I announced my last pregnancy on Christmas day to my MIL. I was only 9 weeks at the time though  I put a card on her present that said "dear Grandma, I hope you have a wonderful Christmas" It took her a few seconds, but it sunk in and she was very excited. I had a camera hidden in the room :haha:

This time I hope to announce it on Christmas too and that's a cute idea to get a big sister shirt for my 2 year old. I hope to have a scan picture by then so I can include that in the surprise.

I was going to say the same as Jenny. Put a copy of your scan pic in a Xmas cracker (You can just buy ready made ones and untwist them then twist them back up again) or personalise a funky pigeon or moonpig card. there are loads of Xmas ones and think funky pigeon only charging 1.99 now and free postage (not sure if you in the UK or not)

Some great ideas here. I was thinking of putting from us and bump in the christmas cards, but tbh I think hubby has told a few family already, so it won't be a surprise for many x x

We are going to give my mom and dad one of those personalized calendars that you order from photostores or online, the ones where they put your own photos on each month. We are going to put some cheesey family photos for all the other months except for June where we will use the 12 week scan pic, and then write DUE DATE in big red letters on the 26th ( my due date ) when they open the calendar and flip through to look at all the months pictures they will get a big surprise! Can't wait! Squeeeeeee!!!

I love the idea of having everyone pose for a family christmas pic and instead of saying "Chesse" ...Say "We are having a baby" and see who catches on first! If your really good put the camara on record video instead of a still pic and then you get to replay it later!! :)

You can get make-your-own cracker sets, so put personalised presents, party hats, notes etc in those! :) x

My best friend shared their news last Christmas. They do a group gift exchange and pass out presents one by one. Someone always grabs a gift, reads out the to and from on the card and then hands it off, so they signed a tag to her mom as "From R, E, and Baby S" so everyone beard baby at the same time and freaked out.

We are making a 2012 calendar filled with different pictures of our LO for each month, and on July (the month im due) the picture will be of LO in a tshirt that says "Im going to be a big brother!" and on the actual date (9th) Im going to write "New baby due!" :D

This will be for each set of parents, so when they open their present they'll think 'aww lovely a calendar of LO' then as they start to look through the months and pictures they'll get a nice big surprise :D I cant wait!! Seems like so far away though im struggling already lol

Haha monkeypooh i reallly didnt mean to write nearly the same as you haha x
