If so, how do you find it? It's it a feasible thing to do as a sahm?

I used to. It's perfectly possible, most jobs can be done with a baby or toddler, you need to read the job notes carefully as a lot of restaurant jobs say adults only, or that you may not take extra guests. However you know your child, are they happy to sit quietly in the buggy/sling while you ask the questions you need? If they're going to be running off and throwing a screaming fit because you need to speak to someone in the fish section and they don't want to go there you're going to find it very, very hard to do the job.

Make sure you only use genuine companies, please send me a message if you'd like a list. Never ever pay a joining fee to work for a company. There are very few I'd honestly recommend you work for though, a lot of companies offer deplorable fees, maybe £3-£4 and this job might take you 20 mins to do and then an hours report to write when you come home. It is HARD to make any real money mystery shopping now. Don't forget you also need to declare any income from mystery shopping via a self assessment tax return.

Thanks for this.i have a very chilled baby (for the time being at least!) and, if necessary, I have a couple of family members I could call upon for short stints of babysitting during the day.

I actually saw it advertised on the direct gov website so would hope it's not dodgy but when I tried to apply, the page wouldn't load properly and it all seemed to be written in French?! Didn't get very far with it!

I think I'm going to leave it for now and maybe look into it again in a few months so I may well pm you then for a list of companies.

Thank you for replying :)

I've done quite a bit of mystery shopping, mainly in banks. A lot of the assignments required me to sit down with a financial services advisor and role play some type of situation. When LO was with me, I would play the 'sahm' role, and it just fit. My daughter was a chilled out and well behaved which helped.
