Are they spots - do they disappear when you roll a clear glass over? No idea personally all I know is for some reason I'd check that. Does baby have a temp?

no... her temp is fine.

I haven't really rolled glass over them. So I dont know.

at first there was just a few on her face and I have this book that said something about it and how its just normal.... I thak that back, she had one a few days after she was born on her leg... they look like little bug bits, red around it and like a yellow/pussie like center... I asked the nurses at the hospital and they said they where normal and would just go away, then she started getting the on her face so I asked her doc and she just kind blew me off saying it was normal and now they have moved to chest and back.

I was/am thinking its just a heat rash because for a while she was having an issue regulating her temp so I kept my house a little warm, and now her temp is fine but the house has still been warm.

I was thinking about trying to put diaper rash stuff on it but I don't want to make it worse.

heat rash is more prickly looking there quiet big spots might just be that but i'd get it checked.

Sounds like milk spots to me. Kaya got them at about three weeks

Has she had a cold/flu recently?? My daughter came out in spots a few times after a cold/flu and docters said it was its way off telling me its passing out of her body. I would go to your docters or health vistor and check just on the safe side though.
:)

So what kind of things can bring baby ou tin spots girls?

I thought spots on baby should be a panic  but I'm just a Mum in training haha! Thank goodness for here

did you recently change your diet, baby's diet or baby's care products?

could it be an allergic reaction?

I will post pics of Juleika's eczema flare up, then you can compare :hi:

no she has had the same formula for almost two weeks now, I have been giving her a little water here and there to help her have a BM.

nope no sickness, I mean we have been in and out of the doctors and they havnt said anything, I was thinking she was getting sick because she was coughing and sneezing every now and again but like the constipation and red spots the told me it was normal! I really dont like that doctor.

Should I take her back? I have had her doctor look at them and she said "normal!"

ugh! I have no faith in them.

Olivia started with spots like that on her face, I took her to the NHS walk in centre and they said it was baby acne, only it was dry and sore so I didnt beleive a word they said and thats when she I was told its Eczema, the spots were all over her face but it was her eye brows and around her ears that was affected by eczema but once I started treating it with Steroid Cream the spots went.

x

I thought Eczema itched?

I did a google image search on it and I only saw one or two pictures that looked like what Rylee has, so I'm guessing it might be but by the tons of other pictures I wouldnt think so.

Lets say it is, other then taking her back to the doctor is there anything I might have at home to help?

I'm really dont want to take her back to the doc. because we have been there almost every week since she has been born and I really do know what shes going to say about it. "It's Normal" I mean of course I will do what I need to, just right now it doesn't seem to be hurting her and if I could I would like to take care of it myself.

I'm going to change her doc. but I have to wait till the 8th when I can talk to the network woman. I'm in this program and things have to be done by the book so sadly I cant do it sooner.... other wise I would have done it already.

It really does sound like milk spots hun. If they're not bothering her I wouldn't worry too much

ok thats fine..... what are milk spots??

During the last months of pregnancy, a woman’s blood stream is overloaded with hormones. Many of these hormones are passed to her baby through the placenta and remain in the infant’s blood for months after birth. These hormones cause three noticeable changes in the newborn: (1) Breast enlargement due to estrogen stimulation of the breast cells (2) Minimal vaginal bleeding in the first or second day of life due to estrogen stimulation of the infant girl’s uterus. (3) Newborn “acne” due to hormonal stimulation of the oil glands of the face.
More than 40% of newborns develop this “acne” on their faces, mainly appearing as red bumps or small whiteheads. The rash begins to appear around three weeks of age and can last up to six months. It is present mainly on the cheeks but can be found in the forehead and chin as well. The rash is not caused by skin pores being blocked with dirt or improper cleaning of the baby’s face. Newborn “acne” is simply the last evidence of mom’s intra-utero connection with her infant.

Newborn acne becomes worse when the baby is fussy or when the skin becomes wet from saliva or spit-up milk. The best way to care for this unsightly but “normal” skin rash is to wash the baby’s face with a mild soap twice a day and then pat (do not rub) dry. Oils and lotion do not help and may even make the condition worse. Consult your pediatrician if the rash does not disappear by six months of age or for anything else that bothers you about it. Remember. You did nothing wrong to cause the rash.

okie dokie, I see... well that helps and I guess I will just keep an eye on it.

Thanks:hugs:

sorry to take over your thread :baby:

I put up pics of the rush Juleika had and would appreciate your opinion and experience :hi:

thx guys

Thats fine, thats what its here for... help.

Where are the pictures? I'm interested.

A Viral rash. I would say.... As you said she's had a cold. Thomas has had it.....

Do you have to see that specific doctor each time? If you ring up for an appointment at most places you can request to see someone else... But I would agree with the doctor, nothing to serious. But taking her back to another GP to calm your worries is a good idea, or perhaps talk to a health visitor/midwife?

whats a Viral rash?

I guess I will go look it up on google....

Viral rashes are very common in young children especially when they have had a temperature, this is because a child's body reacts differently to a virus compared to our own... there are lots of different viral rashes as there are many different viruses.... inc the common cold.

It will probably go in a week.

Look in google images for comparisons maybe?
