Hey everyone, I am going to start the journey to try and conceive a little one. I am new to all of this and although I do know the human body and what to do lol, I would like to see if there is any tips to help this process happen faster. My only concern is my period. I have a crazy cycle and its comes all different times... I have a period app on my phone lol and it says my cycle is every 40 days, last month it was every 47 then every 42 the month before. As we all know this doesnt work well when trying to figure out ovulation time periods . i havent gone beyond that extent in the things to help . I am going to do more research into the temp. thing. Like I said I am new to this . So if there is anything out there that you guys think would be helpful please let me know ! Thanks!

I also have extremely wacky cycles.. my last one was 61 days long! This one is looking like it will be in the 40-45 day range..

The first thing I would do is buy softcups.. lots of girls have success using those. :winkwink: You just put them in place after BD and it keeps the sperm close to your cervix.. also probably the easiest/most natural way to help with TTC.

I also temp chart to help pinpoint my exact day of OV. I monitor my cervix position, for when it's HSO. I don't get much CM, fertile or otherwise, so I can't use that as a basis for fertility. If I didn't get it this time, I'm going buy PreSeed, which is a lubricant that is supposed to help the sperm meet the egg, especially if you have little or hostile CM.

I used soy isoflavones this cycle, to help make sure I ovulated. It worked! I got a positive OPK and all my other signs pointed to the fact that I did ovulate, which is a plus. I've also heard it can help regulate/reduce your cycle length.. and also there's this supplement called vitex/agnus castus that is supposed to help regulate your cycle and hormone production.

Good luck!

I would have to agree on temping and cm checking. I am currently trying softcups and preseed for the first time. Ive heard good things about both. Just found out about softcups today started bd yesterday but not due to ov until wednesday so good time. Got them just in time to bd tonight. I can Keep you posted if you'd like.

Hello Hopingsomeday!

I too am trying for my 1st so there isn't much I can tell you other than what I have been trying and what I have heard myself. I just started using PreSeed 2 months ago (no success yet) and we love it! Soft cups I haven't used, but I hear they are kinda a pain to use lol. I recently had my first HSG test and was told my tubes are clear. However, I was in great pain during the procedure and the doctor told me chances of me having a blockage was high due to the amount of pain I was in.

Hubby and I will be BD'ing tonight using PreSeed and clear tubes. We hope this is the key!

As far as tips go? the list is long!! lol. Anywhere from drinking pineapple juice to thin out the cm, to multivitamins galore! Do any and all to increase your chances. :)

Also, a midwife told me about a new multivitamin out (kinda pricey) called JuicePLUS. You can get it in tablet form or gummie form. She gave me a small sample of the gummie and it was YUM! check out www.maryhalljuiceplus.com.

I wish you all the luck!!!
