Anybody get pregnant from bd'ing 5 days before ov??

Hi-just looking for a little hope is all. My husband and I were all set for really trying this month when he got sick with a cold. The only time we were able to bd close to the fertile window was 5 days before ovulating. We bd'd on cd 9 and I ov'd cd14, which is 4 days earlier than I normally ovulate. I have a clear and unmistakeable temp shift on my chart. I also had some ewcm cd9, which turned into a lot of ewcm cd10-14.

I'm currently 5dpo and just wondering if anyone has ever gotten a bfp from only bd'ing once 5 days before ovulating?? Thanks!!!

Ha....I was thinking of posting the same topic. The last time we were able to BD was CD11...I wasn't worried because I could have sworn I ovulated on CD13 because of some pains and a huge temp spike on CD14...but then yesterday on CD15 my temp shot back down....this morning at CD16 it shot back up.

I think FF is going to assume I ovulated on CD15...which would mean we only BD once 5 days before ovulation!

All that said...I did a ton of Googling last night and came across many women who received their BFP after only one BD 4-5 days before ovulation!

I'm not getting my hopes up because of some other factors, but by all accounts it IS possible!

There is a chance you can get pregnant 5 days before ovulation, one study on here even suggests the chance is as high as 10%, so you're still in, good luck!

You still have hope We are TTC our first baby. The one time I did get a BFP was due to BDing on CD4! I O'ed early that cycle ( CD10). It wasn't meant to be as I miscarried, But I did get pregnant. So yes, its possible !

I wasn't charting but I have a 28 day cycle and I got pregnant twice from bd the first time on day 9 and the second time day 10 or11 of my cycle. I had lots of EWCM on those days and a day after.

I got pregnant when I ovulated 4 days after, so 5 definitely isn't out of the question.

Congrats!!! And thanks for coming back to update!!! I'm in this situation again!!!!! Last BD was 5 days before ovulation as the OH has been horribly sick!!

i was coming on here to post a similar thread but you have actually made my day posting this!

my OH is in the navy and is only home on weekends which makes TTC difficult if he’s not home during my fertile window!

I ovulate this coming Friday (well should do) and we have BD this weekend with Sunday being 5 days before O. He isn’t home this coming weekend when I am due to ovulate so I was starting to lose hope especially when the next fertile window that he will be home will be September! So frustrating! So thank you so much for posting your amazing news it’s given me hope!xx
