Anybody having or had the Anti D injection? Im so scared I hate needed.... ?

I've had it, and to be honest I cant even remeber it!

I had to have 2 when I was pg with dd and one when she was born because she was positive. It stung a bit but that's all, I think blood tests hurt more! I had them all in my upper buttock lying down, I didn't notice the injection being bigger than usual! I've got to have one in this pregnancy too. Dont worry!

I had it at 19 weeks due to a bleed, I can't even remember it really, think it was in the bum!
Try to concentrate on relaxing rather than what the nurses are doing.

I have to have it next Friday! Not bothered about it though, I'm sure it can't be that bad! Not like giving birth lol

Im rehsus negative.
I had the injection with Aliyah and it quite hurt but nothing too painful. Made my arm go really heavy and numb afterwards. At how many weeks should you get it done? My MW hasn't said anything about mine yet..

I will have to have it but hadn't thought much of it until I saw this thread lol. I will make sure to have them hide the needle from me. I'm usually ok with being poked as long as I don't have to watch it!

I got told 28 weeks, seems the same for a lot of my friends

I am 0- and had the Rogham shot last year when I miscarried my first baby at 5-6 weeks. The shot was not that bad, but then again I was so upset I don't know really. They let me have the shot in my thigh, as I was not too keen on showing a guy doctor my booty. The most I had after the shots were a bruise and slight flu like feelings but that could have been contributed to the miscarriage.

I have to have the shot again at 20-28 weeks and then again when the baby is born. Try not to worry. It's really not that scary, and it will help you and your little one to be safe when he/she is born. :)

I've had it three times due to miscarriages and will have it again at 28 weeks. It didn't hurt at all and I got mine in the hip.
