Anybody waiting for PIE at The Hewitt Centre Liverpool Womens Hospital

Hi there,

I have just been referred for IVF at the Hewitt centre after two years of trying to get pregnant naturally which has been a rough old time emotionally.

At our last appointment I was told my AMH was 5 which was explained as my fertility being in decline (which was a big shock as my other half had previously tested as having low motility). They recommended that we don't delay in getting help to have a baby as there may not be a lot of time left.

Is anybody else about to start their treatment journey at the Hewitt and nervous or worried about what lies ahead?

I have read so many other threads but everybody seems to be at different stages in their treatment and nobody just starting out so I don't know where to start.

Would love to hear from anybody out there in the same boat.

Hi Clairey, you should join the Liverpool Womens thread. Everyone is at different stages but everyone is lovely.

I attended the Pie at the Womens at the end of October. Had my bloods in November and our consultation a week ago. All ready to start now just waiting for day 1 of my cycle so I can ring them up!
I have a low AMH and hubby has a low sperm count so in a similar situation to you. Lots of luck to you. X

Thanks for replying. I am lurking over there and reading all of the posts but just not posted yet.

Its good to know we are not on our own. I feel so impatient about everything at the moment but just have to learn to wait. It seems like it has all happened quickly for you. I'm still getting my head around everything it doesn't seem real yet.

I will keep my fingers crossed for you this month that it all goes smoothly.

Hi Clairey!

I'm on the Liverpool Women's thread as well but I think I'm at the same point as you on this IVF trail!

Are you NHS or self funded?

We have just filled out some funding forms and had 2 cycles of IVF/ICSI confirmed. We've been told the next step is being invited for a PIE, but we haven't heard anything yet. I haven't been able to find anywhere how long it has taken from funding applications to getting a PIE letter so would be interested to know how you get on!
