anyone baby engaged snd bump not visually dropped?

So I'm almost 37 weeks with second baby. The last 2 mw appointments he has been 4/5 engaged so pretty much in there. I'm getting the sharp vagina pains and I can feel movements in my pelvis when he moves about. But I think my bump is still high????

Cheers. I hear about all these big bump drops but it doesnt seem to happen to me. Then i'm doubting the midwife saying he is engaging! lol

I thought 5/5 is not engaged and then 4/5 etc etc then 0/5 meant engaged. That's what my MW has told me. So my bub 0/5 fully engaged and when this happened my bump got smaller..lol was weird. My mates fully dropped so low though.

No engaged is how much of the head is in the pelvis. Palpible is how much they can feel.....
0/5 engaged = 5/5 palpable (feelable) = free
1/5 engaged = 4/5 palp
2/5 engaged = 3/5 palp
3/5 engaged = 2/5 palp
4/5 engaged = 1/5 palp
5/5 engaged = 0/5 palp = r

Each mw uses their own way too. Its all so bloody confusing lol

So what if your baby head is in +2 station??? I am confused on how engaged that is and my bump as dropped slightly so don't know.

Do you know I think no one understands the whole thing lol. I have no idea about stations... think thats an american thing as we dont use that here :-/

Yes. With my first, there was no change when he engaged, and he went in DEEP. This time, I was just as big as I was the last time - I couldn't see my 15 month old when he stood right in front of me because my belly is so big. Then, baby dropped, and now I can see my feet, my thighs, my bits! Everything! lol
