ANyone been told to use BC to eliminate cysts?

Hello Everyone. I've been diagnosed with PCOS and have cysts on my right ovary and one large one (5cm) on my left ovary. I've been put on BC and have to take a double dose to eliminate the cysts before I can be put on clomid. Has anyone experienced this? I'm supposed to start on CD4. If you have is it going to be painful? I'm so scared.

Hello! I just went through this same thing, sort of. I was told by my doc that I had cysts (via ultrasound) and he suggested 2 weeks of BC to shrink them. I did the 2 weeks only to come back and have him tell me they didn't shrink so I needed surgery. Came back 1 day before the surgery to have another doc do and u/s (my doc wasn't going to be there the day of surgery and this other doc was going to do it instead) And can you believe that this 2nd doc said that I DID NOT have cysts, it was just my tube filled with fluid! Wasted me 2 weeks and almost a unnecessary surgery!
Not that this is probably true in your case, but it must be common tor recommend BC for cysts.

Tube filled with fluid??? Oh no! I had a tubal reversal and a tube filled with fluid would be a very bad thing. Did you have any pain??? I'm just waiting for AF to show and I'm supposed to start a double dose of BC on CD4. I'm really scared.

no, no pain. I didn't know I had it until my doc did a vag u/s, said my tube looked like sausages! Nice!
Have faith that the BC will do it's thing and you will be good to go!
AF arrived for me today. I am the same type of flow/color etc every time, but this is just after my failed IVF attempt and it is different which makes me sad. I have to say I've been on the emotional roller coaster especially since I got the and was told to quit my meds flat out. Ugh! I hate right now!

I'm so sorry AF arrived. Are you in a position to try IVF again? I am having IUI done after the cysts go away and I have an HSG showing I have open tubes. I'm completely drained too and AF arrived for me too today. TTC is so hard and stressful, your not alone in your sadness.
