Anyone doing their own hair?

My hair has a mind of its own, and I only trust a couple of people to do it right, always go to the same salon.. But my venue is an hour out of town and I'm staying the night before! So, I'm thinking I'll just do my own... Am I mad? It's a pretty casual day anyway, I'm wearing Converse hi tops with my tea length dress!

Not at all, I plan on doing my own! Is it up or down? I would say if you are going this route, try the style out several times, several weeks beforehand, and make sure you have it down pat, you should be good to go.

When I married my first husband, I had it done at the salon (expensive salon in Hawaii) and while it ended up looking lovely, they really had no clue with my hair (washed it and then tried to style it-HA not with my hair! I need a days oil at least to hold a style!). I figure if you do it yourself (since you can't go to your normal salon), you really aren't any worse off!
