I'm 42, soon to be 43, and have two lovely daughters. Would like a third. I've MC'd twice in the last two years of TTC. Doctor says that at my age, the eggs are of poor quality and MC is 75% chance likely again. I don't want to go through that again, so we are paying out of pocket for two IVF cycles. I'm thinking that we will freeze fertilized embies on day one, save them up, and send them along with embies we collect from the second cycle. This is because the PGD cost is close to $5,000USD.
Have any of you some experience with this? I'd like to get just one good egg to put back in! Just can't go through another MC. Last time, I saw the heartbeat one week, and it was gone the next. Thanks for any stories you can share.
