Anyone else finding this?? My LO has grown out of next stuff well before anything else. For instance, brought him some new rompers in 6-9 over the last couple of weeks and he has got one on today that he has worn once - last week - its been washed and already it is half way up his thigh whereas last week it was at his knees...... In the 0-3 and 3-6 he has always outgrown the next stuff quicker and i put one of his babygrows up next to a matalan one and the difference in the length is massive. Are they shrinking in the wash???????? I never use the tumble dryer for dry his clothes by the way

I cant stand NEXT clothes for LO or me! They always shrink or get out of shape really fast. I find the overall quailty terrible and to be honest have had better from Primark! :) x

I have had no problems with clothes shrinking form Next, and will always buy so much from them, whereas Boots is the worse for this happening

yeh i do find next quality for adults esp is bit rubbish! i have this maxi dress which only worn a few times and it already has holes in it from where they didnt put the studs into the fabric properly so they're coming out!

I find that Next stuff shrinks less than others, but I do find their sizes are snug generally. Abby is a small child but she always fits exactly into the smallest size so at 6 months she fitted 6-12 months. I often thought if I'd bought it for the average sized 9 month old I'd have been rather annoyed.

On the other hand Matalan (and tesco and asda....) stuff is huge. You'll probably find the difference in sizes between the too was big when they were first bought.

Totally agree, don't find there clothes 2 bad, but they're vests and sleepsuits are really bad for shrinking.

I find next stuff quite generous on my lo he is nearly 1 and can still fit into 6-9 he isnt a small baby by any means, whereas matalan I have to buy the next size up and primark well, I have to go 2 maybe 3 sizes bigger there!
had no problems stuff shrinking either?

Yeah i have found matalans babygrows to be the best to be honest. I LOVE next clothes but i am going be thinking twice for the next batch of size up clothes i need to buy. I may even buy the next size up from that to be honest from Next. Glad its not just me x

Hmm, strange, maybe a girl/ boy thing. Having said that, I only found it with sleep suits from Matalan, their actual clothes are a pig for sizing. The necks are really tight for going over the head. I once bought 3 sets of 3 t-shirts and found only 4 of them would go over her head and they were all from different sets too. Even when I went up a size, they barely fitted.

I love Next stuff, far more so than any other shop. You just have to be careful with tumble drying it which is probably why its shrunk as it has to be cool dried. Which is an improvement on Matalan and Primark clothes which cant be tumble dried at all!

I don't tumble dry

My LO is almost 1 and still fits in 9-12 months clothing, but Boots etc... he is already in 1-18 months

I found next sleepsuits shrunk... I wondered whether it was just LO growing so I tested by washing one out of a set of three (and didn't tumble dry)... it was about 3 inches shorter when it came out and I was only washing at 40 degrees. I've not had a problem with outfits from next. Pity, as their sleepsuits are really cute.

I can't fault Next things! He seemed to fit in them a lot sooner than others (I managed to get him into 6-9 at 10 months, he's yet to go into 6-9 in other brands) I find the worst place for shrinkage is Asda!

I think their babygrows are generally just smaller. I bought three 6-9 month ones last week and compared them to my mothercare ones and the mothercare ones are about a fot length longer. xx

i find matalan stuff comes up hell of a lot bigger........ i brought tiny baby sleep suits from matalan and they are massive on my LO..... im yet to see a tiny baby that big!
I found washing next stuff at 30 stops a lot of shrinkage....... same as i find once LO has worn the sleepsuit it kinds of stretches again with all his kicking etc. I WAS a lover of next and every month i would find my self spending a fortune in there/online and have done since my 1st born 10yrs ago BUT recently i have found their quality seems to be falling and they have some really bad designs and colours! ...... i can buy as as good stuff and sometimes even better from tesco!!

I find Next stuff a generous fit on Xavier. He's still got growing room in some of his 6-9 trousers from there where he is in 9-12 generally.

lol lots of mixed reviews here!

LO's under the 50th centile for weight but 91st for height so despite being 5 months, she fits into a lot of stuff early. I just tried a Next top on her the other day (6-9) and I don't think it's gonna last the term! I do love Next stuff but I always buy items on sale, never full price, I can't see the point for something they'll outgrow in a couple of months!

xxx

I find the vests and babygros shrink but not the clothes or adult stuff (which I love!)

I find Next stuff fits Tom really well and I've never had a problem with shrinkage. But there is a huge difference in the sizing between their baby range and boys range. He wouldn't fit into the baby 12-18 month clothes past 12 months but the 12-18 month boys stuff is still fitting him perfectly and he's 19 months now.

I find Matalan, Asda and Tesco are all more generous on size than Next though so its probably this rather than them shrinking lots.
