Hi ladies,

Just a little rant really to see if anyone else has got sucky doctors and midwives. All I keep getting told is "its just the same as any other pregnancy" or "if you are going to miscarry theres nothing that can be done anyway".

I thought about a private early scan but as well as the cost of the scan I'd have to pay for the travel costs for me and oh as the nearest place that does early scans to us is miles away and I don't drive (officially) yet.

I'm just whinging really, just wish the nhs would take you seriously when PAL *sigh*

I have been feeling depressed about this today. My last 2 pregnancies (prior to 5 of my 7 recent losses) were unassisted (and AMAZING and the greatest EVER), and then I've also been seeing a new chiro who was TOTALLY willing to help me and went above and beyond to try and help get me healthy again. But I am seeing my old OB (who I saw with my first child, and then with my ectopic pregnancy) and I just hate everything about it. I hate how no one knows my name. I hate having to practically DEMAND more care. I hate having to fight for what I KNOW I need. I hate having them look at me like I'm nuts or "too bad" when I tell them why I need it. Uuuuugh. He's a very nice man, but I'm just a number there and I feel like a nuisance or that they don't take me seriously enough to trust that I know myself and my body better than they do.

We live in a pretty rural area so my options are limited, too, or I'd totally find someone else.

It's rubbish isn't it? My doctor just won't do anything at all to reassure me. He basically thinks that if I'm going to miscarry then it's tough, apparently knowing that things aren't progressing properly won't help (??). I have begged for an early scan or some hcg tests or some progesterone tests but he won't. I just have to wait to see if I miscarry or otherwise for my 12 week scan where hopefully it won't turn out like last time :-(

I thought that doctors were supposed to have a good "bedside manner" as it were?!!
