at my surgery I have to see a GP at 25 weeks. except unlike a midwife appointment it is just in the normal 5 minute slot!!! the receptionist told me in no uncertain terms I couldn't book a longer appointment but how will he do everything? He's supposed to check my bp, my urine, the size of my bump AND the heartbeat PLUS I have two things I NEED to speak to a Doctor about (one of which will need yet another examination).

I'm dreading turning up on monday and being told I can't get checked for half the things I should be because of lack of time. In fact I can totally see myself throwing a pregnant lady fit!!

anyone else have to see a GP at 25 weeks?

Yep, although it was 24 weeks. I saw her, she took my BP, tested my urine, and checked for the heartbeat. She didn't do any measuring. To be honest hun, once you're in there you're in there and so the GP will just have to respond to your Q's!

I once went to a GP with 3 problems (not pregnancy related) and after the 2nd one she basically told me I couldn't ask her anymore questions, so I cried!

Haha loving it! Think crying may b in order!! Ill also make sure I ask the thing worrying me the most first just in case!! It shouldn't b such a hassle to get more than 5minswith a bloody Dr! Xx

Me too - Dr at 25 weeks and then MW at 28 weeks. It does seem like a long time to go without seeing the MW! I also realised earlier today about the MAT B1 form work will be nagging me for soon, so will need to check the docs will do that when I see them at 25 weeks!

I guess we're in a phase where baby just needs to grow and there's not much they can do - then the appts ramp up after 25 weeks :) x
