I can't sleep! For the past three nights, I have gone to bed fine, completely exhausted. But, then I will wake up to go pee at 1am, and I am up for HOURS. Last night I was up from 1am-5am. This sucks! Anyone else? What should I do?

I'm having the same problem. I fall asleep fine, but literally wake every hour or so to pee.
I think exhaustion is contributing to my MS and mood swings.

The last few days I've been trying exercise a few hours before bed, followed by a bath and warm milk.
    Haven't decided if it's working yet :/

I do that too, but for some reason...chocolate or strawberry milk has been putting me back to sleep, don't know if its because its heavy on my belly or what, but of course I wake up a few hours later having to pee!!

Until I was about 6-7 weeks I slept 12-14 hours a night but since then I am waking up at about 3 or 4 am and not getting back to sleep even though until I was 12 weeks I was constantly exhausted.

Luckily my energy levels have increased in the second trimester even though I am not having more sleep. I think it is our bodys way of getting us used to sleepless nights! I would so love just one night where I could sleep through and not get up for a wee 3 or 4 times!! :dohh: x

Wow! Thanks ladies. I am sorry you all are suffering too, but I am glad that I am not alone. I will have to try a few of those tricks. Right now I feel like I could fall asleep standing, but I don't want to nap as I don't want to be up again tonight.

    I have it too.
I get exhausted during the day and a few times now I've not had a wee sleep atall in the day hoping it would help... It didn't! :(

So I now go to bed around 11 and sleep until my oh comes up around 1 or 2, then we watch something and I lie awake for a few hours, up at 7 to get him and my son and the dogs sorted, then back to bed for an hour on wed n fri, and 2/3 hours on tue n thurs.

My oh moaned about me sleeping patterns I told him it doesn't matter when I sleep, as long as I do! Lol

It's 2am so my answer is YES. Been like this off and on since the very beginning. I am tired during the day & early evening, but then wake up to pee & can't go back to sleep for a while.

Funny you should mention this hun, I was just talking to my co-worker about how I'm not sleeping well. I wake up feeling a bit sick, then get up to pee...and then lay in bed staying at the darkness for what feels like hours...

I also had some insomnia when I was in week 4 or 5. Then I could sleep, specially when I started feeling really tired... I would easily fall asleep riding the subway.

Now I am a little bit back to normal.

I slept! You know what I did? I cut out one of my iron pills. At bedtime I was taking one prenatal and one iron (I have anemia) and I think it was just too much on my tummy as the prenatal also has iron in it. I take another iron with my folic acid in the morning, but I am thinking that I will take the other at lunch perhaps. I hate those things. But, yeah, I still got up and peed, but I went back to sleep! Yay! Of course, it could be just a fluke...after three nights of unproper sleep, perhaps I was just too friggin exhausted. LOL!

Get to sleep ok and then up 2/3 times a night for a wee and cannot sleep, not complaining though as i'd rather have the symptoms than not :)

I am up at least 6/7 times. I am peeing all the time and am horrendously dehydrated too which is a bit of a viscious circle. I dont sleep deeply at all any more. XX
