I had a MMC in March 2014 and fell pregnant again in April. I'm 18 weeks pregnant and was just at the Dr.'s this past Wednesday and the doctor listened and heard the heartbeat. I know deep down that everything is ok with the baby but I'm always nervous that something will go wrong. I always feel better after having a scan, my next one is for gender and measurements in 15 days and time is going slowly between alllllll my appointments. I can't feel baby moving yet and I know that once I can I feel much better. Anyone else always worried?

Also, when did you start feeling your first move?

I was always nervous with my rainbow. I'd had a MMC before that that was diagnosed at our 9 week scan, so scans were always terrifying for me. I don't remember exactly when I started feeling her move... it was really light flutters really early on (14 weeks? 15?) and then got progressively stronger. Although I was still nervous after she started moving because there would be days when she didn't move as much or hours when she didn't move at all, and I would be terrified that something was wrong.

Even the day I went to get induced (at 39 weeks... I had pre-eclampsia that was getting worse), I didn't want to post on Facebook that I was about to go into labor because I was scared of jinxing myself. lol my friends were shocked when all of a sudden we posted that we had a healthy baby girl. :haha: So honestly, I don't think the fear ever entirely went away for me, although it got MUCH better after my gender scan (no idea why... I guess just having the techs look at EVERYTHING so closely and tell me everything seemed normal was a huge relief).

My rainbow is now 6 months old and she's healthy and growing like a weed! Good luck with the rest of your pregnancy and at the gender scan!! <3 Hopefully that helps you relax a little bit more too. PAL is so tough.

I know exactly what you mean. I am still nervous. What really helped me was forking out $50 to buy a decent doppler so I could hear my rainbow's heartbeat whenever my heart desired. Now I feel her consistently all day so haven't used it for a while. I'm past my V day which makes me relax a bit but I always have that worry something could go wrong. I try to breathe and think positively. I feel so much better now that I'm further along. Maybe you should get a doppler so you can hear your baby's heartbeat. It's so worth it.

Thanks! I thought about it, but I can't find anything cheaper than $200 here (with shipping costs and whatnot). I'm feeling bit better now and I think I'm feeling movements. I have a scan in 11 days so once I know baby is ok I'll be relieved :) Congrats on your baby!

I am! All the time, every day! Ugh! :dohh: I cant believe how worrying all of this is and has to be for us. Just praying we all get healthy rainbow babies at the end of all of this! :flower: :hugs:

Thank you! I bought mine on ebay and love it. It came with two things of gel and it didn't take very long to be delivered.

Wow! thanks for the link :)

No problem! I hope they ship to where you live. That doppler kept me from losing my mind until I started feeling her kicks and jabs.
