So I'm 19 weeks tomorrow, and have MAYBE gained 1-2 pounds? I think I was about 118-120 lbs before getting pregnant, and then in the first tri was hardly eating so was down to more like 115...but now I'm eating regularly and back to 120 lbs. I feel like most of that weight is just normal weight from actually eating! I know the baby is only 5-6 ounces at this point, but I do have a sizable bump, so feel like there should be some extra pounds in there...from fluid at least. Any of you ladies been in a similar situation? When did you start putting on more pounds? Was it gradually as baby got bigger or did you hit a point where your body just started storing a lot more than usual?

 but I really dont need to be gaining any extra lol x

Its nothing to worry about =) This is my 3rd pregnancy with my first I gained a stone in total. I don’t know when I gained it as I never monitored it. With my second I stayed the same weight up until about 24 weeks but throughout the pregnancy only gained 9lbs. With this one it’s a bit early yet to tell how it will go but 16 weeks with no weight gain xx

If you also have a bump that is good. My bump never came until I was 30 weeks pregnant last time but it came at 18 weeks first time xx

This is my second pregnancy and I didn't start gaining weight with either until the 20 week mark. My first pregnancy I gained 35lbs all in the second half. they say the weight gain slows down the last few weeks because your stomach is so swooshed and some of the nausea and lack of appetite comes back, but I was packing on the lbs right to the end. This time around I've managed to keep it to 3-5lbs so far (23 weeks). Most my friends gained weight immediately. Everyone's different. They say you should gain a lb a week after the this point but it always came on in spurts for me, 1lb one month than 6lbs the next month. It's all good as long as your in the recommended range at the end, it's just hard to predict sometimes!

This is my first pregnancy. I gained the most weight during my 2nd trimester. I've gained around 27 pounds, so far, and at one point in my 2nd trimester I gain 7 pounds in 4 weeks!

I'm 17 weeks and I'm losing weight. I'm down a total of 9 lbs from the weight I was when my doc confirmed the pregnancy.

However I haven't weighed myself in a few days, but I have noticed my bump getting bigger this week. I'll bet I'm up a couple pounds right now, but still not surpassing my starting weight.

I talked to my doctor about this at both my 12 week and my 16 week appointments. She isn't worried, and we are attributing the weight loss to the fact that as soon as I found out I was pregnant, I cleaned up my diet real quick and started eating very well. She said she won't start worrying unless I don't gain in the third trimester.

I haven't really gained anything yet, I'm not overweight but I'm not skinny either so I wouldn't be expecting to gain too much. As long as you're eating enough and healthy I don't think it should matter

I'm quite overweight already and happy I lost a lot of weight in the first tri so still about 2kg under the weight I was when I found out I was pregnant. Just enjoying it while it lasts!

I'll be 19 weeks tomorrow, I've lost about 10-11 lbs and haven't gained anything yet.

At 22 weeks I had only gained 3 lbs total. Now I'm at 24 weeks and have gained a total if 9 lbs. it's ok, it'll come. I don't have a high bmi either - I know they say the higher the bmi the less you should gain. But even witha lowish bmi you can still gain the majority of the weight in the last half of second tri & third tri combined.
I don't want to have a hard time when baby comes so have been eating really healthy & trying to watch carbs as I always have. There's not very much nutrition in bread, noodles, and rice - would rather get my calories from veg, protein, and fruits. Helps prevent gd too.

I'm still 5lbs down. My last pregnancy was the same. I gained all my weight in the third trimester. Everyone is different though. As long as your eating well and have a bump I wouldn't worry too much.

I haven't gained any yet. With my last pregnancy at 41 weeks I'd gained one single pound. I eat what and when I like. X

I've lost 10kgs since Christmas (I don't weigh myself often). I've really cleaned up my eating habits and started exercising. I've also got GD and so I'm being a lot healthier than I used to be. I'll be happy if I can keep as little weight gain as possible as I'm overweight.

I'm 5lbs down so far but my appetite is returning now after two months of nausea so I imagine it'll start to go back on! It's so weird losing weight but all my clothes feeling tighter around the middle :/

Almost 26 weeks and am still 3lbs down from prepregnancy. And i eat like crap!

im 16 weeks today and only up about 1 lb, started at 120 lbs. i think its normal though and as long as you feel like you're eating enough i believe your body will gain what it needs to!

There's a pregnancy weight gain calculator. I'm a little below the average range but according to my mw, as long as you're taking your folate, iron and B multivitamins and eating healthy you'll be ok.

I lost about 8 lbs my first few weeks, due to being nauseaus all the time, before I even saw the doctor. From 14 to 22 I gained it back. As long as we are eating healthy and baby is measuring well, I don't think we need to worry too much. The doctor will say something if its a concern.
