Every baby I see seems to be in a snowsuit but LO hates being hot and though I havent tried him in one I'm sure he wouldnt like being bundled up. I put him in a coat instead and I'm sure he's warm enough but just thinking should I be puttin him in snowsuit?

After 2 months of age I didn't put LO in one, he really didn't like it so why make him uncomfortable? xx

He's never in anything thicker than a cardi, he gets too sweaty!
X

i put lo in one but he only wears it for doing school run and has sleepsuit under as no time to get dressed! he kicks of blanket in pushchair and don't have a foot muff so i know he Will stay warm enough this way!

I used 1 about 3 times but i thought there just to awkward to use so gave up!!! How do you get a sleeping baby in 1 of those

I only tend to use one when I put her in the pram as she is stretched out. And always with a sleepsuit underneath so it's comfy. She usually falls asleep and looks adorable! I don't put her in the carseat with one on though because they look so uncomfy and scrunched up.

LO is a hot baby too and certainly lets me know when she gets too hot!

I cant do it either. I've got 3 but I just cant get him in them without him going seriously crazy and pulling his legs out, which ive just spent 10 minutes getting in! I just have him in a fleecy coat and footmuff, and if its really cold a blanket over the top x

We never used one a due to lo feet probs everything has to b footless! We only.jus got sleepsuits as i have jus found ones without feet! X

My lo gets hot quite quickly, I prefer to put her in a coat, hat and blankets. It's easier to control her temp with blankets (layering up/taking them off etc)

I've put lo in his a handful of times but he gets too warm in it. I find it so much easier to just add / remove a layer than have to take the whole thing off.

They're not suited to a car seat either (due to compression) so have only used them in the pram when, really, an extra cardigan, hat and blanket do the job just as good.

Thomas doesn't wear snow suits anymore. A coat, hat and mitts are just as good.

Needing one depends on the weather where you are and how long you are outdoors. I don't have one (this year or last) for Avery because we usually go out only in the car. Snowsuits aren't meant to be used in a carseat. If you spend a ton of time taking walks outdoors, you might find one easier than trying to keep a blanket on the baby's legs.

Thanks everyone glad I'm not the only one! We don't spend that much time outside really and when we are the footmuff on his pushchair is great cos it comes right up to his chest do keeps him warm.

I use one if we go out for a long walk in the pram.

We have one and I put him in it once and never again, it was too much of a struggle and he was sort of stiff in it, like he was head to toe in bandages, poor little thing couldn't move his arm to get his thumb in his mouth :nope: so that made him crazy. I just layer him up and I always have the raincover on even when it's not raining so the wind doesn't bite at him.
