OK, I am totally putting myself out here saying this, but I am kind of hoping that I am not the only nut-job here :) and that others think the same thing sometimes???

Does anyone ever see a teen mom and want to go up and ask her if she wants her baby? And day dream that she says no, and then day dream about convincing her that you would be a great mom and that she should give her baby to you!

Or, does anyone else baby-sit someone else's baby and pretend that it's their own baby just for the while you have it?

OK...I am weird!

Lol, you're not weird.

I sometimes day dream about waking in the morning to a baby crying, and finding someone has left a baby in a basket at our front door

I've always thought that I would find a baby in the woods all wrapped up & I would look after it, now come on how sad is it!!not to mention disturbing!!

I no what you mean about the babysitting part too hun, its not weird it just shows how badly we want our own little baby.
xx

How tragic is this...I find myself in the gym running on the treadmill watching the kids in the pool [it faces toward it] and I pick one and pretend he/she is mine..and imagine a whole scenario around this kid & what I would do next etc...sounds even more tragic when written down

*looks a bit shocked*

Gotta admit I've never done that....

I've found it very easy to spoil nieces and nephews, but tbh I've always done that.

when i lost my daughter i used to think like that can fully understand it x

I was pushing my friends daugter in her pushchair and was walking through the shopping centre and a lady stopped and told me she looked just like me! I nearly peed myself laughing but felt a bit umcomfortable!! My friend went a little odd like that and wouldn't let bubba out of her sight!

Never done it, but can understand why you do. I love taking my neices and nephew out and spoiling them

When i've looked after my nieces, i've definitely had moments of pretending they were mine and what it would be like. And pushing my youngest niece around town in the pram, and thinking that everyone must think she's mine and how I wish she was.

Re: the teen Mums - nope, haven't done that just because we want our own biological child...but I do get pissed off, assuming it was an accident and how unfair this all is.

I sometimes have these little daydreams. I was in a restaurant recently and there was this woman who had five kids, one of them was a baby of around six months. He was beautiful. He kept smiling at me. I had this little daydream where she told me she could not cope with him, that she wanted him to go to somebody who could give him what he needed. In my head, I adopted him.

LOL! WHEW!!! I am soooo glad I am not the only one! LOL!

:blush:yup , my sisters three young children look EXACTLY like me and my Dh ( me and my sister look like twins lol and her Dh looks very like my Dh) freaky lol. And when we are out with just the children, we talk about if they were ours lol, and don't correct people when they assume they are ours

I daydream ALOT about finding a lovely little baby or toddler and actually getting to keep them. Or this is going to sound nasty lol but my DH's brother and sister in law ( horrible people btw) deciding they cant cope with their gorgeous daughter and we adopt her etc etc lol.

I wish xxx
