I don't have morning sickness.

Through the day, so far at least I feel fine but heading towards bedtime I can taste the excess stomach acid in the back of my mouth and then bam! Night time nausea hits me. I was up for a couple hours with it last night and early indications are that tonight will be the same

Anyone else in the same boat?

I have morning and night nausea. The only relief I get is in the afternoon most days.
It's awful isn't it! Bring on the 2nd tri!!!

I had it for a brief time. I found i was better off sleeping propped up as much as possible helped.

Even before I got my BFP i had nausea in the mornings. Then about halfway through, it switched to nights. Now I can pretty much eat and feel fine for breakfast/lunch, but by supper (around 5-6pmish) I start to decline. I'm not hungry and start to get nauseous. I just go to bed early, sleep propped up on 2 pillows and lay a cold wet rag over my head and usually sleep it off til the morning! Hoping it goes away soon! I can say it is lightening up some now that I'm 11 weeks yay!

I have it morning and night. Once I'm moving during the day I can clamp it down but when I relax at night it pops up again and it's horrible.

Taking tums can help the acid reflux, along with the propping up from pillows as suggested by others. :)

Cut back on any spices, greasy foods, and eat light snacks throughout the night. Even if it's only 2-3 pretzels or 2-3 slices of apples.

Yep, I had it until recently. I feel sick at any point during the day, but I am guaranteed to feel very sick in the evening, and I often wake up in the middle of the night feeling awful. It has just gone away, though, the last couple days (and hopefully for good!), so get through it as best as you can, and hopefully it will go away soon! It is not fun to feel sick as you're trying to go to sleep. I found that sipping gingerale right before I went to sleep helped, as well as going to bed earlier than normal to try and miss the worst of it. Also, I kept gingerale and crackers next to the bed for when I woke up feeling terrible- it often helped.

I'm sailing in the same boat. I've only felt nauseous at night, and it's most nights, starting with heartburn and leading to full blown nausea. I was starting to worry - glad I'm not alone with it!

Thanks for all of your replies girls :flower:

I'm going to try your suggestions, everyone of them to try and cope with it until it passes. It's certainly good to hear that it's passed for some of you that are a bit further along :-)
I have to say I feel really sorry for you ladies who are suffering during the day as well as at night. Big :hugs: to you xx

This is pretty much how it goes for me. I have sometimes felt mildly queasy when I first wake up (I am right now) but I find swapping my usual breakfast for plain toast clears it up and then at lunch I can eat pretty much anything I want.
I'm glad it's lightening up for you now :)

Ooh are we ok to take Tums? That's good news x

Yes I've been waking up at 2 and 3am feeling sick and it's no fun at all. I'll get some ginger ale and crackers today and give that a try. I actually really like ginger ale too
I'm glad that it's getting better for you now x

I have nausea off and on all day, but for the last couple nights it has woken me up 2-3 times a night... Like currently, its 2:30am my time and I'm up nibbling on crackers..

I'm actually about to post about seabands and get opinions on those..

Good luck. :flower:

I'm getting waves of nausea throughout the day, but it seems to be worse at night. I asked the midwife, and she said that generally whenever your blood sugar level drops it can trigger the nausea, so that's why it can be bad at night as well as morning. She told me to have small snacks all day every few hours.

Thanks snowangel I'll keep an eye on your thread about seabands

Jamhs what your midwife says about blood sugar makes sense. I guess eating little and often and keeping light snacks by the bed as some of the ladies on here have suggested is the key.
Fingers crossed your both feeling better soon x

i'm in the same boat too...waking up in the night for the loo and then being hit, no make that smacked right in the stomach and face with nausea! and that queasy falling asleep feeling, horrid. a sweet helps me, you know the boiled sugar ones? a hard fruit sweet-so far apple flavour is the best! and my personal favourite an ice lolly...i need a mini ice box next to me bedside table! oh and brushing teeth = sure fire way to feel ill...yuck!

It's 5.25pm here and I'm suffering from the same  it's just awful, almost worse than the on and off all day sickness for some reason. I don't remember night time nausea with my son or daughter, hoping it eases up soon.

Hi chick, I've been cursed with hyperemesis so I am sick ALL day long but night time just before bed is the worst! I get clammy, shakey and just puke uncontrollably for about an hour before bed, go to sleep a weeping mess most nights! Things that take the edge off, sleep propped up on a million pillows, put your feet up on one too, it helps! A cold cloth on your forehead or on the back of your neck . I wear sea bands, I'm not sure they help but I'm afraid to take them off now lol! Try and take some sort of antacid like tums or rennie and eat a dry cracker if you can cos sickness is worse when tummy is empty! That's everything I can think of for now! I also take zofran that the doc prescribed, it's been taking the edge off! Thinking of you, hope you feel better soon xx
