I always put DD down lengthwise in the crib, such that her body is aligned with the longest part of the crib. She always immediately rotates in a circle (usually in her sleep) so that she's laying crosswise, with her head and feet hitting the crib side rails. She does this by kicking her legs up and down together, an issue which no swaddle to date has been able to stop, and lifting her butt as she does so. Doing this over and over, she starts to rotate in a circle.

She gets very angry when she winds up crosswise in the crib because her head is hitting as she continues to kick, and a few times a night we have to go in and re-align her.

Anyone else's LO do this, and what do you do about it?

Mine does this too. I was up hourly last night repositioning her so will be interested if anyone has any suggestions x

Yip, as well as some sort of sleep crawl that results in him banging his head off of the top part of the cot.

My LO used to do this. I didn't figure out how to stop her but she did just grow out of it in the end. It didn't last too long if I remember correctly :)

my LO does this but she can't fit that way anymore , She's really tall and her crib is pretty big.. I ended up putting the bumpers back but she know's how to tear them down :S.. Its a never ending battle.. so i decided to weave them in and out because she was also getting caught in the bars well my bumper didn't weave the entire crib so what she does she makes her way to the part thats not and starts messing around in that area... She was so quiet 45 mins after i put her to bed last night i make my way upstairs to check on her what is she doing.. no not sleeping, no she couldn't be.. she's frigging un-tying the bumper from the begining!! ... I have a houdini!!!

Mine did this last night. He was lying in the crib then when i check a feq hours later his head was where his feet are meant to be! So completely turned around lol i left him as didnt want to wake him

My lo did this for about a week but seems to have stopped the last few days! I used to just put her back when I fed her.

Yup, my LO was at the other end of her cot all curled up against the wood. I really worry about her hitting her head!

My DD does this every night.

I've given up, and just reposition her if she gets upset - although now she can crawl she rarely needs rescuing

My LO has just started to do this too! I was hoping that someone would have a solution...last night I repositioned her lots as she kept banging her head against the side. I'm guessing it is because she is learning to roll and move which is great but I wish she would save her new skills for mainly daytime :)

My LO started doing this a couple of weeks ago. She isn't mobile yet, but shuffles in her sleep and she starts off laying downwards with feet at the bottom and ends up horizontal. Sometimes we creep in and move her but it sometimes wakes her up and she cries, other times she doesn't wake. If she shuffles into a horizontal position whilst we sleep, she doesn't cry any more (she used too) so we just leave her and she seems happy enough, although she doesn't look very comfy!

Another sleep wiggler here. I find her in all sorts of strange positions. Thankfully she only seems to roll onto her tummy during naps tho.
