Hello ladies!! ITs been a while since I have been on BNB. I had to take a break after I found out that me and my fiancee couldnt concieve naturally due to my blocked tubes. As some of you may know as soon as we found out the bad news I was on the phone making an appointment to see a FS!! This doctor is the best in my area.
After we found out about the expense for IVF...i was like no way are we ever going to afford this anytime soon. I knew it would be expensive but I wanted to get all the info I needed so that we could prepare ourselves.
So after a month of discussion on how we were goin to pay for IVF my fiancee was offered a new job!! And with his new job they have pretty good insurance. His company offers a flex spending account where they deduct your pre tax dollars each pay period to pay for medical expenses. And only certain medical expenses are covered. And IVF is one of them!!!!
My fiancee signed up for $5,000 for IVF. the total deposit for IVF is $6300. I was also lucky enough to recieve $$ from the doctor that I work for also!! I feel that all of this is a sign!! GOD is so good!! We were at our lowest point and all of the sudden my fiancee gets this job out of know where. So now we have the $$ to pay for IVF.
So we just recieved the $5,000 on the visa, so we have to use it before the year 2011. With flex spending they have this "use it or lose it" rule.
Now everything is happening so fast!! We wanted to get married before we have a baby. So now we were thinkin about having a simple wedding in the next 6 months. I dont know how were going to pull this together. We want this so bad!! To start our future together. And now here it is!!
Sorry for the long speech...It feels good to get it all out. But my question is do we just skip the wedding and go straight for our miracle baby?? Has anyone thrown a beautiful wedding together in 6 months?? Also has anyone ever used Flex Spending to pay for IVF??
I would love all the helpful advice I can get. I know alot of us on BNB are in the same boat.
Thanks ladies!!
